About me

You can call me Dannis or Li Sir. My goal in entering the pet training industry is to change the current trend of dog training in Hong Kong. I hope to educate owners in training their dogs based on principles of positive reinforcement, without hitting, scolding, or causing harm, and help them understand dog behavior issues and explain the reasons behind behaviors in order to reduce behavioral problems.

I currently have a 6-year-old Shiba Inu named Haru. I welcome everyone to share your dog life with me.

I usually volunteer at HKDR/LAP when I have time, and I hope everyone can participate if they have time.

Experience

5 years of experience in managing pet facilities and many years of dog training experience.

Officially engaged in professional dog training in 2023.

Led the Shiba Inu manager HARU to complete KPA professional training requirements within six months.

One-on-one home training / foundational positive training (training principles, dog learning methods) / body language (understanding dog communication methods)

Behavioral issues (barking / guarding food, belongings, and owner / excitement towards people and dogs / leash pulling / aggression (towards people or dogs) / fear issues / destructive behavior / separation anxiety) and other behavioral problems.

Puppy training (socialization, potty & crate training, preventing unwanted behaviors (such as guarding objects / chewing on furniture / jumping on people), basic behavior skills (sit / down / stay / come / touch / drop-it / leave-it, etc.)

Daily behavior improvement (indoor etiquette (not disturbing humans while eating / jumping on guests), outdoor etiquette (recall / focus / loose leash walking / leave-it / down-stay), etc.)

Training Direction

Dogs and owners should mutually respect each other, communicate with dogs in a positive manner, and respond to the messages dogs express to us. I believe this can deepen the mutual trust between humans and dogs.

Positive training is about guiding dogs to perform well through rewards and affirmations, building trust and promoting good communication and interaction. Scientific research shows that positive training can enhance dogs' learning abilities and emotional health, increase connection and interaction with their owners, and reduce anxiety and aggressive behavior.
